Chance Meeting-An Avatar Story

~Star~

I leaned over the edge of Appa's saddle, and watched Sokka get slammed into a tree. I had sent a blast of air at him when he tried waking me up. Stupid nightmares....

"Sorry!" I yelled, trying not to laugh. I jumped off of Appa and ran over to Sokka, helping him up off the ground. "Sorry," I said again, rubbing the back of my head sheepishly.

~Sorin~

I watched as Star jumped off of Appa, running over to Sokka. I laughed some more, then finally spoke.

"Alright, then I guess Summer and I should get going." I said, tarces of laughter still evident in my voice.

~Star~

I looked over when I heard someone say something, and that's when I realized that everyone was watching what had just happened. I laughed a little, then blushed. I held my hand out to help Sokka get up. He stood up, laughing a little at the whole incident.

~Sorin~

I watched as Star looked over at us, blushing a little as she helped Sokka up. Summer was standing next to me, smirking.

"Alright, I guess we'll go now." I repeated, still trying not to laugh too much.

~Toph~

"Yep, okay then. I guess I'll see you two when you come back," I said, mock-caringness in my voice. ()

~Sorin~

"Right..." I said, turning around and starting to walk, Summer following me. The capital didn't seem to be too far away, so I was hopinh it wouldn't take us too long to get there, buy clothes for everyone, then come back.

~Star~

I walked over to everyone else as Sorin and Summer walked off towards the capital.

"Where are they going?" I asked.

"Eh, going to buy us some Fire Nation clothes so we'll fit in and not get killed when we go to the capital. Nothing big," Toph replied, answering my question.

~Sorin~

We had been walking for about fifteen minutes when we came to the crater that surrounded the capital.

"Great," Summer said. "How are we supposed to get in there without getting noticed?" She asked.

I scanned the bottom of the crater for a few seconds, then, luckily, noticed a small hole in the base of the crater.

"C'mon." I said, walking over to the hole. I ducked down to look through the hole, and saw that it came out around the area where most people lived. I got down on my hands and knees, then, realizing that even then I was too big to fit through, down onto my stomach.

"We'll go through here." I said, starting to crawl through it. I heard a sigh come from Summer, but a few moments later, I could hear her crawling behind me.

~Star~

Everyone just stood there, talking amongst themselves. I kept trying to appologize to Sokka for what had happened, but he kept saying it was okay. Aang and Katara were trying to think of where the prisons in the capital may be. And Toph just sat there, by herself, looking bored....

~Sorin~

After a few minutes of crawling, we came out on the other side. Luckily, no one seemed to notice us. We snuck towards what seemd to be the road leading towards the market, keeping an eye out for any Fire Nation soldiers.

~Toph~

Things were pretty quite while Summer and Sorin were gone. I heard everyone talking to each other, but I stayed out of their short-lived conversations. I just sat down, leaning against a tree....

~Sorin~

We walked around for a little while once we got to the market, looking for somewhere to buy clothes. I could tell that Summer was really uncomfortable, because she was sticking as close to me as possible, and looking at everyone around us with so much hate.

Finally, we found a good place to buy some clothes. (I guess they have places like that in the Fire Nation, right? )We looked around for a little while, then finally picked out some clothes for everyone. Luckily, before I had left home, I had taken some of my dad's old Fire Nation money.

We bought the clothes and left the store, heading back towards the hole.

(Yeah, I'm sure they would. ^^)

~Katara~

While Sorin and Summer were gone, Aang and I discussed what we were going to do once in the Fire Nation capital, and some possible places the prison may be.

"But I'm not sure where the prison would be," I said, continuing one of our conversations. "I'm not sure if it would be hidden, or if it would just be out in the open. Our best chance is to search in the most obvious places, and, of course, the not-so-obvious ones. If we have to, we can ask a civilian there. It would have to be one of our last opitions, though; we can't risk someone getting hurt." I continued.

(heh, I bet they're in for a bit of a surprise when they find out that the prison is a large tower, sitting on a big hill, pretty much visible from most places in the Capital city. )

~Sorin~

It took us about five minutes to get back to the hole, then a few more minutes to go through it and get back to the forest. After a little while of walking, we got back to where evryone else was.

~Star~

Quite a while later, Sorin and Summer showed up. I stayed on my spot on the ground, and looked up, speaking.

"Hey, welcome back. Did you get into the capital okay?" I asked.

~Sorin~

Yeah, it was actually pretty easy." I said, handing her one of the outfits we had gotten for them.

(Not really sure what the outfit(s) should look like......^^')

(I shall describe them...er, some of them...Maybe...'^^ )

~Star~

I examined the outfit Sorin had handed me. It looked like it would fit me pretty well, and I thought it was beautiful. It looked like a dress at first, but the top and bottom weren't attached. I stood up and held the outfit to my body, to see how it would fit me. The bottom of the skirt reached my ankles, and the sleeves of the shirt would slightly cover my wrists. At least that helped the arrow problem. ()
The whole outfit was a solid red color, and the hems were a golden-hazel color. Up on the chest area of the shirt, there was a yellow sun-looking figure. There was a long tail of yellow that trailed down the whole body of the outfit, and ended at the bottom of the skirt. The whole outfit felt like it was sewn out of silk, but, obviously, it wasn't.

"I'll be right back!" I said, anxious to try it on. I looked around, and then ran over to Appa. I'm sure I could try my outfit on behind him. He was big enough.

~Sorin~

I smiled. Star was obviously happy with what I had picked out. I handed everyone else what I had gotten them, then went over to behind a tree to get dressed myself. The only person I hadn't gotten anything for was Summer. Her clothes already fit right in with everyone else's. I'm surprised I got away with the clothes I was wearing, because they were all green. But I wasn't going to chance it again, so I got myself some clothes as well.

I took off my green pants, putting on the red ones I had gotten. Then, I took off my green tunic, slipping on the red, long-sleeved shirt I haf gotten. A few moments later, I came out from behind the tree(), and walked back over to Summer.

(Hehe, Star's not usually such a...."girly girl". Just when it comes to certain things like this. Oh, and do you think everyone else's (like, the gaang's) clothes should just be the same as they are in Season 3? '^^)

~Star~

I pulled off my old clothes, and put on the new Fire Nation ones eagerly. ()
Once I had the clothes on, I realized that the top was smaller than I thought. It still fit me, but the bottom of the shirt was just above my belly button. Obviously, it was made like that, and it wasn't too small. Actually, I kinda liked it....()
The sleeves reached a little past my wrists, and the skirt reached a little past my ankles. It all fit perfectly.

When I walked back from behind Appa, I realized that Sorin had already changed, and Katara was missing. Maybe she was as eager as I was?

"Well, how do I look?" I asked, striking a pose, just kidding around like my goofy self. I didn't really expect anyone to asnwer.

"Pretty nice," Toph said. I was about to answer, when I realized something. She was blind. She couldn't see my outfit. I HATED it when she did that....

I scowled at her, and she chuckled a little.

~Sorin~

I glanced over at Star, who looked great.

"Uh...you look good." I said, smiling, glad I had picked out something she had liked. I had hoped everyone else would like what I got for them.

(Yeah, I think they should. ^^)

(Ooh, I forgot to add something (and just remembered...'^^) to Star's outfit. Just like alot of my other characters, she's got the matching black pants under her skirt, and the slit-thingy on the side of her skirt, up to her thigh. I didn't really think it would matter, but then I got to think, it might be...hard for her to move in just a skirt, considering some of the bending moves and stuff she does...Soo...yeah...'^^)

~Star~

"Thanks," I said, smiling back at Sorin.

"Yeah, Star." Sokka said. "Looks good."

~Summer~

By now, everyone had changed into their.......Fire Nation clothes. I spoke, growing impatient.

"Shouldn't we get going?" I asked.

~Star~

Toph was just coming back from behind Appa. She didn't seem too happy to be in Fire Nation clothes.

"Don't anyone....say anything...." she nearly growled, making me giggle a little.

"Aww, Toph, you look good!" I said, still laughing a little.

"Hey!" Toph exclaimed, pointing her finger in my direction. "I told you not to say anything, didn't I?!" I shut my mouth, trying not to laugh.

"Summer's right, you guys," Sokka said, stopping to soon-to-be-"fight". "We've gotta get going."

I cleared my throat, then nodded my head.

~Summer~

Before anyone could disagree with Sokka, I started walking back towards the crater. A few moments later, I could hear Sorin walking up next to me.

~Star~

I watched as summer started walking back towards the crater. I stayed a few feet behind, but followed. Everyone else was in front of me, and I was kind of meaning to stay behind a bit. The Fire Nation was actually more beautiful than I ever could of imagined. I'd always thought of it as some terrible, hideous place. I'm sure the towns weren't all that great (), but the nature sure was beautiful!
