Chance Meeting-An Avatar Story

(....I don't....think so, considering that she's always so freaked whenever she's on Appa. I mean, there's no earth or anything, so she wouldn't be able to see with anything....)

~Toph~

I could kind of figured that Summer wasn't the happiest person to be riding on Appa. I heard Star trying to "encourage" her, which wasn't really working. I kept my mouth shut while they were talking. Star had nudged me in the shoulder once earlier, and I figured it had to do with our whole Summer-Sorin joke earlier. So I laughed, hoping I had guessed right. ()

I probably wasn't any happier than Summer was. I never was when riding on this giant flying cow. It was like I was really blind now. So I kinda knew how Summer felt. But I figured she was afraid of heights, and had no trouble seeing anything now.

(Wow, that was..kinda strange. '^^ )

~Sorin~

I loifted my head back up and looked aroun. It was weird being surrounded by the sky, being above the Earth. I looked to the front of the bison and noticed a giant crater/island approaching slowly.

~Toph~

I got bored of just sitting there, not saying or doing anything. So I finally said something.

"Hey Twinkletoes?" I asked. "Are we there yet?"

~Sorin~

"We're almost there, Toph!" Aang said, glancing back at us for a moment.

~Toph~

"Good," I said, overexagerating a sigh of relief. "I'm getting kinda tired of not being able to see."

~Sorin~

After about five or ten more minutes, we were very close to the island. I spoke.

"So, where are we going to land? We can't just land in the middle of the Fire Nation capital." I said, scanning over the island for a safe spot for us to land.

~Toph~

"Probably somewhere in a forest by the Fire Nation capital," I heard Katara answer, concentrating. She was probably trying to find a place to land.

~Summer~

I looked out from where I had been........"hiding"-ugh-, amd saw that we were finally here.

Now, I know I should've told the others this, but there was another reason why I had come besides, of course, to find Sorin's parents. I knew I couldn't just hide it from them, but I decided to wait a little longer to tell them.

(Dun, dun, DUUUUNNNN!!!!! )

(Oooh, sneaky! )

~Toph~

I could feel that Appa was slightly going down, and I figured we were landing. Finally, I'd be able to see again!

Once we landed, I immediatly jumped onto the ground.

~Summer~

Finally! We were finally back on the ground. I jumped off the bison, landing on my feet on the ground. I had to keep myself from falling onto my hands and knees and kissing the ground. ()

~Toph~

As Summer jumped to the ground, she had to keep herself from falling. I giggled a little, trying to keep it under my breath. I didn't want her to kill me for laughing at her. Ooo, scary threat.

(Sarcasm! Yay! )

~Sorin~

I climbed off of the bison, then stood next to Summer, who seemed to actually be a little happy.

~Toph~

I stood there quietly while everyone else got off of Appa. Everyone except for Star. Man, that girl could sleep. ()

When Sokka got off Appa, his heart was slightly racing, like he was embarressed. My guess was that Star had fallen asleep on his shoulder...again. ()

(heh heh heh)

~Sorin~

I looked around and realized we were missing someone.

"Hey.....where's Star?" I asked.

~Toph~

"She's still asleep," Sokka said, sighing.

"Man, that makes me wonder what she's been doing after we left. I've never seen that girl so tired before!" I commented, pointing to Appa.

~Sorin~

I chuckled a little, then spoke.

"Well, someone should wake her up. We have to get going." I said, trying to sound serious.

~Toph~

"Yeah, you're right," I agreed. "She can sleep some other time." A few seconds of silence passed before I spoke up again. "Well, Sokka, you heard the guy. Go wake her up!"

~Sorin~

I heard a small groan emit from Sokka, but he did what he was told. () He climbed back onto Appa and spoke.

"Star? Star, you awake?" He asked.

~Toph~

I walked over to Aang and Katara while Sokka tried waking up Star. At least she wasn't a heavy sleeper....

Aang and Katara were talking about what we planned to do once we got into the capital.

"....And we'll probably need a disguise of some sort. We can't all just walk in, dressed like we are. We'd deffinatly get caught...." I heard Katara explaining. Aang nodded his head in agreement as I walked up.

"So, what's the game plan?" I asked.

~Sorin~

I noticed that Toph, Katara and Ang had formed a little group. From what I could hear, they were planning. I started to walk over, poking at Summer to motion for her to come, too.

~Toph~

I noticed Sorin and Summer had joined us in our little group of explaining. ()

"....I think Summer and Sorin might fit in in the town. But we wouldn't. We'll need to send someone in to get clothes." Aang was saying as the two walked up.

~Sorin~

I spoke after Aang.

"Summer and I could go." I said, volunteering Summer and I. I looked out of the corner of my eye and noticed Summer shooting me a glare.

~Toph~

"That could work," I heard Katara considering it. Aang and Katara whispered to each other, discussing it, then spoke up again.

"If you guys would do that, that'd be great!" Katara exclaimed. I was about to say something, but I heard a scream from behind me. Then I heard something thump into a tree. Everyone turned around, except for me.

"Let me guess," I said. "Star got freaked out from having a nightmare again, and attacked Sokka when he tried waking her up?" I guessed.

"Mhh-hmm." Katara said, shaking her head and laughing.

"Figures." I replied.

(Yes, that HAS happened before in my story. Just thought I'd add that. '^^ )

~Summer~

I shot another glare at Sorin, but didn't say anything. I guess I'd just have to go with him.

~Sorin~

I ognored Summer, who was still glaring at me, and laughed. Sokka was now on the ground, having of knocked into the tree.
