Chance Meeting-An Avatar Story

~Star~

We all watched Sorin and Summer discuss....Okay, everyone else tried doing something else to distract themselves while Toph and I watched Sorin and Summer discuss. I tried watching them out of the corner of my eye while I helped pack up stuff. When they hugged each other, Toph spoke in a whisper to me.

"Hey, looks like we got two more lovebirds in our group. Great." She spoke sarcasticly, and I laughed.

"And you're STILL the loner, Toph." I replied, laughing again.

"Hey!" she said, sarcasticly offended.

(Aww, poor Toph. )

(heh heh)

~Sorin~

I let go of Summer, blsuhing slightly. I spoke.

"Thanks." I said, then before she could say anything, I walked back over to the camp site.

~Star~

When Sorin came back over to the campsite, we nearly had everything packed up and ready to go.

"So, have you decided on where to go first?" I asked, trying to be polite. Hints of laughter were still caught in my voice.

~Sorin~

I looked at Summer who was now next to me, staring at the ground and blushing very slightly. It was weird seeing her like that. I nodded slightly at Star, and spoke.

"Yeah.....I think we should go to the Fire Nation capital." I said, sighing slightly.

~Star~

"Alright, Fire Nation capital it is!" I said, and I couldn't stop the glee-ish () sound in my voice. Not only would we be possibly finding Sorin's parents, but we also might find my parents...er, parent....AND help with the whole "saving the world" thing!

"Oh, and one more thing." I said, looking at them again. "Have you ever ridin (sp? '^^) on a Flying Bison?"

(Oooh, just thought of something! I think I'll make Summer afraid of heights! )

~Sorin~

"Um.....no." I said, then a few moments later, realized what she meant.

(Ooh, nice! )

~Star~

"Good, then this should be fun," I said, and jumped up on Appa's head, making my way to the sadle. A few seconds later, I spoke to them.

"Well don't be shy; hop on!" I said, laughing a little.

~Sorin~

I walked over to the bison, trying to figure out how to get on. Finally, I just went with climbing. I scrambled up onto him, trying to get on. Then, I reached my hand down for Summer. She took my hand, and I pulled her up onto the saddle.

~Star~

As Sorin helped Summer up, Toph, who was already sitting next to me, nudged my arm. I knew what she was talking about, and I giggled a little.

I saw Katara get up on Appa's head, and I figured she was going to "steer" him instead of Aang. Then Aang jumped up there with her, and I realized that there wouldn't be much room in the sadle for all of us. Even if there was, it wouldn't be too comfortable.

Once Sorin and Summer had found a spot to sit at (), I decided to ask "Okay, is everyone all comfy?" in a teasing voice.

~Sorin~

I looked at Star and Toph, raising an eyebrow at their laughing. I shook my head a little, and ignored them.

"Yeah, we're good, I think..." I said. ()

~Star~

"Good," I said, laughter still lining my voice. "This is probably gonna be a pretty long ride." I said, then noticed someone was missing. I looked around, and found Sokka still on the ground. I'm not really sure what he was doing....

"Sokka, hurry up!" I yelled, to him. He gathered whatever he was doing and said, "Coming, coming." Of course, he couldn't get on Appa by himself, and I had to help him up. A few seconds later, he said, "Okay, I'm ready. Let's go!"

(Wow, THAT was random, too...'^^ )

~Summer~

Suddenly, the bison took off into the air. Unfortunately(sp?), I looked over the edge.

"...I think I'm going to be sick." I said.

~Star~

"What's wrong, Summer? Are you afraid of heights?" Sokka asked from beside me, sudden concern in his voice. That was strange....()

~Sorin~

"N-no." She said, obviously lying. Surprisingly, she actually latched her arm onto mine, clsoing her eyes. i have to admit....I was kind of happy.

"Suuurree you aren't." I said, joking.

~Star~

Once I saw Summer latch onto Sorin's arm, two things went through my head. One, she was deffinatly lying, and I'd have to keep an eye on her so she wouldn't get sick half way there. And two, I nudged Toph, who was already giggling...Again. Man, doesn't take much to entertain her.

(Hehe, it looks like Star and Toph have made their own little inside joke....)

~Summer~

"I heard that!" I yelled, my eyes still glued shut. "Laugh and I'll kill you!" I said, probably sounding ridiculous.

~Star~

"Ooh, I'm so scared," Sokka said sarcasticly. He started laughing, and I joined in. A few seconds later, I spoke again.

"Don't worry, Summer. I'm sure you'll get used to it. The first time I rode on Appa, I got kind of sick, too. But, like I said, you'll probably get used to it." I could still see the slight worry in Sokka's eyes after he finished laughing (heh heh ), and I gave a Sorin a "you-think-she's-gonna-be-okay?" look.

~Sorin~

Star gave me a look that kinda seemed like she was wondering if Summer would be okay. I shurgged my shoulders as best I could without alerting Summer.

"I-I'm fine!" Summer, said, opening here eyes slightly.

~Star~

"Just try to keep your eyes focused on something on Appa. Something that, if you concentrate on focusing on it enough, you can't see down. It would probably be better than closing your eyes, because, when you close your eyes, it feels alot worse than it actually is," I suggested, trying to do whatever I could to help. I looked at our surroundings, and we were still above some sort of forest. Since we couldn't go over towns without being caught, I figured the whole trip would look something like this....

~Summer~

I opened my eyes a little more, and all I could see was sky around us. I closed my eyes again, practically hiding under Sorin's arm. I know I probably looked REALLY stupid, but right then, I didn't really care. I had been scared of heights since I was little.

~Star~

I sighed. "Or not," I mumbled.

~Sorin~

I smiled a little, trying to contain my laughter. I was almost a little worried that Star wasn't kidding when she said she'd kill anyone who was laughing at her.

I leaned back against the saddle, closing my eyes slightly and letting my hair fly around in the wind.

(....Did you mean "I was almost a little worried that Summer wasn't kidding when she said she'd kill anyone who was laughing at her." I don't think Star said that....'^^ )

~Star~

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to relax. I guess I fell asleep or something -surpising, considering how much sleep I had gotten earlier-, because I didn't remember a thing after that....

(That means more Toph! Yay! )

(Oooh! Right! heh, sorry. I keep on almost doing that for some reason.....Yeah, that's what I meant. And yay for more Toph! ......I have no idea what to put. Do you want to put some more? ^^' If not, I'll try to think of something. ^^)

(Umm....Sure....? Ooh, question! Do you think Toph can "see" at all when she's on Appa's saddle? I mean, I think she'd be able to, but I decided to ask anyway...Just to make sure....'^^)
