Sword Fighting Show Down

(She awakes! heh heh, Elandri was out for quite a while...about a week. )


The person didn't answer me, so I brought my sword up, and pressed it into their side. They let out a grint, but didn't say anything.

(Okay, I have to make this really short, because my mom and I are watching Tv...but I shall be back! Sometime......)

(Sorry, can't help my teachers giving me exams and bucket loads of school work. XD)

(That's okay.....post whenever. I'll probably disappear soon. By the way...just wondering, but have you read the newest Percy Jackson book? It was really good!)

(Nah, not yet. I really want to, though!)

I wandered around aimlessly for what seemed like hours, doing nothing in particular. I inwardly noted that there was still no sign of the boy I fought earlier. I dismissed it, bored, and kept on trudging along.

When the person didn't answer, I let him go, and started to walk back to the campsite. I turned back around and spoke to Lynn, a with a little anger in my tone I might add.

"Do whatever you want with him. Just try to get some answers out of him. My ankle is throbbing, so I am going back to the campsite."

With that, I turned back around and limped back to the campsite. I had been staring off into the forest, so when I got back to the campsite and saw the girl wandering around, I was quite surprised.

I heard a rustling coming from somewhere, and whipped around swiftly. While I did that, I noticed that my hair had fallen out of its low pony tail. I cursed inwardly; it would be impossible to get the tangles out of it later, but I had more to worry about than my hair. The person that was presently in front of me was the hopeless kid that fought me earlier. I glared at him hard.

I smiled slightly, glad she was finally awake. I spoke.

"Well, well, look who's awake. You've been out for a couple of hours." I said, limping back over to the spot I usually sat at. I sat down, keeping my sword in my hand just in case she got any ideas. Worse came to worse, Lynn wasn't too far away for me to call for help.

I cocked an eyebrow, finally realizing that he must have brought me here. I wondered how he did it... he looked like a feeble thing, he did. I felt utterly humiliated: how could someone like me have just passed out? "You better not have dragged me," was all I could think to say, but I hoped I sounded menacing.

I chuckled a little.

"Why would I do that? No, I carried you and put you down right over there." I said. I rubbed my ankle, the pain hardly bearable.

I rolled my eyes, a faint tint of red crossing my cheeks. "Who are you anyway?" I asked slowly, ignoring the fact that his face was almost contorted in pain. Whatever had happened, it was his fault for being so careless, and wasn't my problem. I tapped my foot on the moist soil, waiting for a reply.[/b]

"That's funny, I was about to ask you the same thing." I said, grinning. "The name's Jonathan. Your turn."

I was surprised, to say the least. Nobody had really cared who I was. "Elandri..." I said shortly. I wasn't used to much 'kind frivolities', as my brother put it. That was, before he died.

"Well, even though we tried to kill each other, it's nice to meet you, Elandri." I said, smiling. I tried to mask my pain, but it was getting harder.

"Likewise," I said, shrugging. I then proceeded to sit down, and divide my unruly raven hair into three sections and braided it slowly. It was so irritating, and I needed it off my face. Once I had finished, pulled a piece of blood-red ribbon from my pocket and tied it around the bottom of the braid, creating a long tail at the end.

I watched as she braided her hair, then tied it together when she was done. Right then, I thought she was a little pretty. I blushed, looking away towards the trees. I felt a little bad leaving Lynn there, but I knew she could handle herself. From talking to her, I could tell she was tough.

I layed back, my dark brown hair mingling with some leaves that had fallen from the towering trees around us.

I sat there in silence, wondering what I would do next. Run away? Go back to the castle and face another day of Father's lectures? Maybe even stay with this 'Jonathan' figure. I yawned slightly, and lay down on my stomach, looking towards the sky. Soon, I announced that I was going to look for my pack. It had my clothes, my food rations, and some more treasured items. "Try not to get yourself killed while I'm gone," I told him.

I looked at her oddly.

"'Get myself killed'? I am not going to get myself killed!" I said, getting up and grabbing my sword for support. "Where'd you leave your pack?" I said, limping over next to her.

I shrugged at Jonathan's question. "In a bush around where we fought," I told him darkly.

"Right......well, I'm bored so how about I come with you?" I said. It was true. It was kind of boring just laying there. I wasn't tired, so I figured I'd come with her. The field we had fought in was beautiful, and I had wanted to see it again, minus the "fighting-to-the-death" part.

"Whatever," I said, proceeding to walk though the dense forest for some time, before coming to the place where we fought.

I liped beside her, not saying a word the whole time. We soon got to the field where we had fought. She wandered over to some bushes, but I just stayed near the way we had come. I gazed out towards the field, and the lake nearby. Some flowers were scattered throughout the field, and a some grew near the lake.

"Ahah!" I exclaimed triumphantly, holding up a Hessian bag. I spun around to face Jonathan and waved him away. "I'm going to change out of my terribly grubby clothes now, dear, so I advise you go away." I looked art him hard. "Begone!"

I smiled, and turned around, limping a little ways away, then leaning against a tree. I stayed on my feet, figuring I wouldn't be waiting too long.

I cursed inwardly, looking inside my bag. Either a dress or grubby, disgusting clothes? I hate wearing dresses, but I guessed it was better than what I was wearing now. I couple of minutes later, after lacing the bodice tight, I emerged from where I was changing wearing a flowing, red and silver dress. My torso was clothed tightly in a leather corset, and under it was a chain mail shirt that fell down to the elbow of my arms. Falling from below the leather corset came the rest of the flowing dress: a long skirt made of fine red material trimmed with silver on the bottom. I examined myself, seeing it fine, moved to find my companion.

I heard footsteps a few minutes later and turned away from the tree. I now faced Elandri, and she looked beautiful. She was wearing this dress, and it looked really nice. I can't remember the exact details, but it was real pretty. I stuttered for a few moments, then finally forced the words out.

"Uh, let's g-go," I said, then turned around and limped forward.
