Chance Meeting-An Avatar Story

(Aww, okay! DX DX)

~Star~

"Well, he's not," I said, trying not to be rude. "He's probably the last pure Airbender, but he's not the last Airbender. There are only two -that we all know about-. He and I...."

~Summer~

"What do you mean pure airbender?" I asked.

~Star~

"I mean," I said, trying to think of some simple way to say this, "he's an actual full-blooded Air Nomad. I, on the other hand, am half Earth Kingdom, half Air Nomad. It's a shock that I even have the ability to Airbender," I said, smiling a little.

~Summer~

"Oh," I said simply, finally understanding. "Anyway.....Maybe we should get walking." I suggested. Sorin immdeiately spoke.

"But you're hurt!" He said, obviously still really woriied about me. It was kinda getting a little annoying. ()

~Star~

"He's right," I said, glancing over to Sorin, then back over at Summer.

"Maybe we should stay here for at least the rest of today. I don't think you should be traveling in this condition of yours."

~Summer~

I sighed, then spoke.

"I've been worse." I said, putiing my hand on Sorin's shoulder to help myself stand up. My legs wobbled a little, but I could stand, just as long as I kept my hand on Sorin's shoulder.

"I'm fine." I repeated.

~Star~

I looked at Summer, a little skeptic, and a little concerned. But, if she said she could make it traveling, I didn't think we should hold her back.....I kept silent, not wanting to interfere with these two's conversation.

~Sorin~

I let out a sigh, feeling defeated. I have to admit, though...It was nice to have her leaning on me.

I picked up her pack and my own bacpack, putting them both over my arm. Then, I put my arm around her back to help support her, even though she already had her arm around my neck.

"Ready?" She asked Star and I.

~Star~

I nodded my head, saying "Ready." It was a simple answer, but I couldn't think of anything else to say.

~Summer~

"Then let's go." I said, pulling on Sorin and beginning to walk down the path in the forest.

~Star~

I silently followed the two down the path, my mind running wild.

(Sorry, I couldn't think of anything else to say. '^^)

~Sorin~

We had been walking for about ten minutes, when I finally noticed a village in the distance. I pointed toward the village.

"Let's stop there for some supplies." I suggested.

~Star~

We had been walking about ten minutes before Sorin had stopped us.

I looked at the village not too far away for a few moments, then I spoke.

"Good idea.

~Summer~

We had been walking for only a little while when Sorin noticed a village up ahead. He pointed to it, and suggested that we stop there for supplies and stuff. I nodded, not saying anything, and continued to walk along with him.

We soon got to the outskirts of the small town, which seemed to be one of the very few Earth Kingdom villages that had yet to be captured by the Fire Nation.

~Star~

As we slowly walked closer to the town, I could see more and more of it, even if it was small. It looked like one of the Earth Kingdom villages that hadn't been overthrown by the Fire Nation yet. It gave me a little spark of something....Hope, maybe, but I doubted it.....

~Sorin~

I looked everywhere, making sure that there wasn't any Fire-Nation soldiers. Luckily, it seemed there wasn't any. I let out a small, satisfied sigh, and walked into the village with Star and Summer.

~Star~

I followed Sorin to the village, then looked around.

"So what exactly do we need?" I asked, still looking around. I was just making sure that there weren't any Fire Nation soldiers around....

~Sorin~

"Well, some food would be good for a start." I said, walking to the closet food stand. There wasn't very many people there. Two or three villagers, and these two kids about my and Summer's age wearing Water Tribe clothes. One was a guy, with his hair tied back in a wolf-tail, and the other was this pretty girl. They seemed to be fighting over how much food to get. The guy was saying something about how they needed more food, but the girl was arguing that they needed to save their money. I ignored them, turning to look at the food the stand had.

~Star~

"Food. Right. Good start." I said, following Sorin to the closest food stand. I heard two people bickering over how much food to buy, but I didn't pay any attention to it. I looked at the food, which is the first time I actually realized how hungry I was. My stomach growled, and I placed my hand lightly over my stomach.

For some reason, I just happened to look up to ask something to Sorin, and I froze in my place.

(Ooh, I wonder why? )

~Sorin~

I looked at Star, and noticed she was staring at those two Water-Tribe people from earlier. I spoke.

"What's wrong, Star?" I asked.

~Star~

It took me a few minutes to answer. I had to find my voice. With a trembling hand, I pointed to the two people who were bickering over food. "S-see those two people?" I asked, still pointing.

~Sorin~

"The two fighting over there? Yeah, I see them. What's wrong?" I asked, concern in my voice. There seemed to be something wrong with Star. ()

(Hmm, I wonder what's wrong with her? )

~Star~

"Y-yeah, them...." I said, slowly putting my hand to my side. I was pretty much frozen with surprise and shock. "I...I know them..." was all I could get out of my mouth.

~Sorin~

"Really?" I asked, a little surprised. "Well maybe we should go over and say hi." I suggested. ()

~Star~

"No, no. You...don't understand...." Again, I couldn't get much out of my mouth. I hate how I got nervous like this sometimes.... I took a deep breath, and my voice almost returned to normal. "Why don't YOU go over there and say hi?" I asked, mockingly.
