| (I feel so bad...Poor Babs! ... ) --Barbara-- He did as I had said. In the split-second after he pulled the trigger, I silently prayed Jonathan would find this bastard, and make him pay. Then everything went black, and I was gone. --Jonathan-- I had been silently walking down the street, hoping to find any other signs, something. The moon created a dim light, making up for the broken streetlights that lined the sidewalks. Then I heard it. A gunshot. It broke the night's silence, and then it was gone, like nothing had ever happened. | |

| --KC--
Surely someone had heard the quiet gunshot. So disposing of the bodies at this moment was not the best of ideas.
"Giselle," I said, and she walked into the living room, almost skittish. "Help me take the woman to the basement, alongside the other two." At first, she just stood there, seemingly frozen. Then she nodded, and did as I said.
Once we were back upstairs, Giselle silently sat down at the kitchen table. I sat down beside her, and she looked down.
"What is wrong, Elle?" I asked, trying not to sound too emotionless. She looked up as I used her nickname instead of her real one.

(Sorry for the filler chapter thingy! '^^ I'm just not really sure what to put in the given situation...I'm just waiting to see what Jonathan'll do...'^^) | |

| (That's okay. Gosh, I'm so forgetful. I forgot the gun had a silencer on it. Guns with silencers still make some kind of noise, though, I guess. Oh well! ) --Jonathan-- I immediately assumed the gunshot had something to do with Barbara. Sure, I was obviously being paranoid, but that was me. The paranoid leader. It just showed I cared, in some twisted kind of way. The gunshot had obviously come from nearby, so I began walking again, deciding to take a look in a close alley. (...Sorry, I couldn't really think of more. ^^') | |

| --Giselle-- I began explaining what was wrong, why I was acting as I was. But I was quickly cut off by a knocking on the front door. KC stood up immediatly, grabbing my hand. I could tell that he took my hand as more of a controlling action, to drag me along, than an affectionate one. I stood up as well, following him out of the kitchen, into the main room. Once we reached the door, there was another knock. KC opened the door, and I was honestly surprised at who was standing there. It was Izabelle, one of my friends from school. I had told my mother that I was staying at her house. "Hey, Iz," I said casually, working my hand free from KC's grip. "What're you doing here?" "Better question is, what're you doing here? Your mom called my house, wanting to talk to you. You owe me, for saving your ass," Iz answered, crossing her arms. "I wanted to know what was really going on. I figured I would find you here. So, let me ask again. What exactly are you doing here?" She glared at KC for a second, then made her way into the house, shutting the door behind her. "Well, y'know, I just wanted to spend some time with KC, but if my mom found out, she would kill me. I hope you don't mind," I answered, laughing nervously. Iz looked at me, eyes narrowed, knowing that I was hiding something. KC spoke before Iz got the chance to. "How did you know where I live?" he asked, sounding surprised. (Heh, yay for somewhat filler-y chapters! ) | |

| --Jonathan-- I looked around the alley. Nothing. Of course there wasn't. This was getting tiring. Barbara could be anywhere by now. The thought of her being anywhere but at the tower greatly disturbed me, but I started thinking about how it might be easier to continue a search from the tower. I headed back to my car, and drove off towards the tower. (Sorry it's so short...I couldn't think of anything else...) | |

-Giselle-
"Never mind that," Iz answered, turning around to face both KC and I. "Oh, and KC. How's your lip?" she asked, in almost a child-like tone, a smirk spreading onto her face. KC immediatly knew what she was talking about, and mumbled something beside me, grimacing.
"I don't believe I ever invited you into my house, Izabelle," he answered sharply.
"Doesn't matter. Giselle is my friend, and I don't trust you being around her alone. I know what you've done, and I don't want the same fate brought upon Giselle," Iz explained, sighing. "Point in case, I'm not leaving without Giselle." She smirked again. KC looked at me questioningly, then sighed. As long as I wanted Iz with us, I knew she would stay with us. And I wasn't going to be the one to argue. Right now, I was honestly terrified of KC. However weird it might sound, it was good to have Iz by my side in this.
"This way, Giselle, I won't be lying to your mom. You'll be with me, like I promised. Now, I know I'm sounding like a mother, but I'm concered about your...safety," she said, for lack of a better word. She was looking directly at me now, but glared at KC out of the corner of her eye. She pulled me off to the side, whispering something to me. "I think we should probably get out of here. The whole reason I came was to drag you out of this physco's house," Iz whispered, an almost concerned expression playing on her face. She started tugging at my arm, but I stopped her.
"No, Iz. I don't want to leave. Not yet," I whispered back, glancing over at KC. Iz sighed.
"Fine. But, as long as you're here, I'm here, too."

| (Sorry it took me so long to post! I just couldn't think of anything decent. I think I'll do something through Sarah's POV now...) --Sarah-- It was almost midnight, and neither Jonathan nor Barbara were back yet. Joey had told me that Jonathan had left to see if he could find Babs, who had left hours ago now. Joey "told" me that Jonathan actually had a worried look on his face. Anyway, I hadn't bothered to tell my dad or Roy or Donna. By now, though, I figured if they weren't back in thirty minutes, I'd tell Roy. I wasn't really worried about Jonathan. He could handle himself. I mean, so could Babs, but less so. I sighed, leaning against the tower, about to close my eyes. Suddenly, I saw Jonathan's car driving towards the entrance to the Tower's garage, the opening being in a little cave on the island, a little ways away from the Tower. I rushed inside, taking the elevator down to the garage, getting there just as Jonathan pulled into his "designated" spot. My eyes fell on the passenger's seat: empty. I ran over to him as he was getting out of the car, and immediately started talking. "Where's Barbara? Is she okay? Couldn't you fi-" But then I noticed the look on his face. He looked...annoyed? Sort of. Defeated? Yep. "...Jonathan?" I questioned, my eyes wide as I stared up at him. "I could not find her, Sarah. We will search for her tomorrow," He whispered. "What do you mean you couldn't find her?! How could you not find her?! You're...you're you! You can do every-" "Sarah...please," He said, and put his hand on my shoulder. "We will find her. ...I promise." I nodded, and after a few more moments, he took his hand off my shoulder and walked away. (...Hn...that was really bad...) | |

| (Okay...let's see...) /Jonathan\ I hate murders. Why? Because I'm a damned superhero, and can't give the murderers the punishment they deserve without "becoming one of them". Deep down, I might know that that's probably the wrong thing to want to do, but the part of me that thinks that is barely clinging to life. One of these days, I'm not going to be able to take it any more. One of these days... Anyway, here I was. Standing in front of another dead body, a few of my teammates standing next to me. The others were back at the tower, unable to deal with dead bodies. I half-listened as a shaky young patrolman, given the task of filling in the "freaks who nearly put us out of a job every day", gave us the details. "W-well, w-we've yet to identify the body. She's p-probably early to m-mid-twenties. She was st-stabbed. No w-weapon, n-no witnesses." This is why they called us. When they don't have any evidence, any suspects, any leads, any ANYTHING, they call us. Why? Because, somehow, we always seemed to be able to find something, even though they couldn't. The truth is, they were a bunch of lazy bastards who knew that we weren't going to just tell them "no". Nonetheless, we were going to catch whoever did this. We always did. (Jeez, that was long! Anyway, I don't know, was that good?) | |
