Sword Fighting Show Down

(Um.......I can't think of anything. That's half the reason why I said wait for Elandri.....that's alright! We can just wait till later! Right, Star? *Jabs Star with her elbow.*)

I yawned loudly, watching Lynn and Jonathan chatting like old chums. I wondered where I would go if we split up in the forest.... I certainly didn't want to stay with Jonathan and Lynn. They were excluding me from everything they did. At that moment, I felt a hated life, hated everything. Why bother living when you have no purpose to live for?

(Uh-oh........I wonder what Elandri will do......)

After a while, I put the picture back in my pack, still having not come to a decision. I looked at Elandri who had an almost angry look on her face. My anger had gone away, but I wasn't so sure if I should talk to her.

(Heh heh, don't worry. She's not suicidal.... yet. (Just joking!) )

I bit my lower lip, apprehensive toward both Jonathan and his little friend. I've always felt disconnected from human affection after the hell that my family put me through. Sometimes I wondered if I'd ever have somebody to call a friend. I pulled myself up from the opfrest floor, and paced around restlessly.

I watched Elandri pace around a little, then finally spoke, staring at the ground. Although, it came out a little hoarse.

"What's wrong, Elandri?" I asked.

I shot a dark glare at him. "Like you'd care," I said dangerously. For some reason, I just felt furious, then and there.

I flinched back a fraction of an inch when Elandri replied. She sounded enraged, and I was guessing that "fight" she and Jonathan had gotten in earlier was probably the reason. I sat down cautiously, not wanting to get caught in middle of this.....

I tapped my foot impatiently on the dark, prosperous soil, waiting for a response. Lynn and Jonathan both seemed taken aback by my sudden rage.

I sighed, really not wanting to fight right then.

"Well, contrary to what you think, I do. But if you don't want to tell me what's wrong, I guess there's not much I can do about it."

I managed another poisonous glare at him. "You wouldn't understand..." I said slowly... "No one does. You just go gallivanting off with your little friend, because I'm finding somewhere else that is free of snobby little selfish brats." I knew I had flew off the handle, but I just couldn't handle it any more.

It took me a moment to take that in. I then answered.

"Snobby, selfish brats? You're talking about...me?" I said, my voice holding a tinge of anger. I had never acted snobby or selfish in my entire life.

"Who did you expect I was talking about? The little bunnies? As far as I know, w3e're the only civilized inhabitants in the whole of this forest!" I threw my hands up in anger.

(By the way, I forgot to ask...what do you think of the new layout? I love it! Star changed it.)

I blinked my eyes, trying to comprehend what she had just said.

"I am NOT selfish or snobby!" I yelled, wishing I could have come up with a better comeback. I stood up, waiting for her to answer. I yelled again.

"My life has been almost nothing but misery!" I yelled.

(I think it's a bit dark, but it's fine other than that.)

"Whatever you say," I said smoothly.

With that, I moved over to my pack, put everything back in order in silence, and then glanced at Jonathan and Lynn for what I hoped would be the last time.

I looked away, anger rising inside of me.

"You'd never understand. Anyone I tell....no one understands what it's like to die! Or what it's like to be brought back to life by a psycho, given fake memories, and have him make you try to kill your best friends! No one could ever understand that." I yelled, a split second later wishing I hadn't said that.

I stayed on my place on the groud, taken aback a little by Jonathan's reaction. I hugged my knees close, burrying my face in my lap....

I wasn't listening to Jonathan's strangled yells, instead I was concentrating on getting ready to move out of camp. "Goodbye, all! Elandri has left the campsite!" With, that, I left. Just... left.

I couldn't believe it. She was just.....leaving. I didn't know what I was supposed to do. Was I supposed to go after her" Just let her go and not care what happened to her? What? In the end, I let her go. I was still angry at her, and I didn't really want to go chasing after her. Something tells me she probably wouldn't of come back, anyway. I watched as she walked away, and thats when I mase my decision. I turned to Lynn, then sat down in front of her. I ook one of her hands in mine, then spoke.

"Lynn.....I've come to a decision. It pains me so much.....but I have to go back to my friends. To....where I belong." I said, a few tears falling from my eyes.

I still had my face burried in my lap when I felt Jonathan take one of my hands. I looked up, a few tears already slowly making their way down my face. I wasn't really surprised when he said what he did. I knew it would end this way....I was just hoping it wouldn't end this soon.

I stood up swiftly, jerking my hand out of his. I just nodded my head, walking back over to my bag. I wasn't leaving just yet, but I might as well get my stuff together anyway....

I stormed through the forest, angrier than I had ever been. Tears clouded my vision, and I really had no clue where I was heading. I really didn't care either... anything was better than living with those two at my heels all day. My midnight hair fell in front of me, and my eyes were puffy and red. I knew I was a wreck.

I felt like I had just ripped my own heart out. I was leaving the girl of my dreams, and I'd probably just broke her heart. I sighed, the tears still dripping down my face. I sat up and gathered up my things, getting ready to leave.

I threw my bag over my back, the strap over my shoulder. Then I silently walked over to Jonathan, hestitant about what I should say. I wiped the few tears that where still rolling down my cheeks away with the back of my hand.

I had finsihed packing as well. I was ready to leave when Lynn walked over. She seemed like she didn't know what to say, and I never gave her the chance to do so. I lenaed in closer to her, put my hand on the back of her head, and kissed her. A few seconds later, I let go. I didn't stay to let her say anything, just turned around and started walking. After a few minutes, I truned my head sort of over my shoulder and spoke to her, for what I thought would be the last time.

"Goodbye, Lynn. It was....very nice to of known you."

And with that, I walked away into the forest. And yes, I did find my way back to where I was from.

I bent down to pick up my swords from the ground. I had dropped them like an idiot when Jonathan kissed me. When I looked back up, he was walking away.

"I-it was nice knowing you, t-too...." I said, standing frozen in my place for a few passing minutes. When I finally gained enough strength, I walked through the forest, blocking everything I could out of my mind.

Quite a ew days had passed, and I hadn't thought anything of the past few days at all. I was almost proud of myself.....I walked into the nearest town, releaved when I saw more people, new faces. I tried clearing my head completely, read to start my tragic life over......

(I know, a very suck-ish way to end...Like I said, I suck at ending things like this '^^)
