Cool Zone Convention

I walked over to that conveyer belt thingy they always have at airports- or, at least I think they always do, since I've never been to a real airport- to get my stuff. I nearly missed my bags, but I managed to grab both of them in time.

I threw one of the bags across my back, resting it on my shoulder, and pulled the other one, since it was one of those ones with the wheels on the bottom.

As I was walking towards the doors of the airport, I noticed someone out of the corner of my eye. It looked like...Batgirl- or should I call her Kayla- from the pictures I'd seen of her. But what're the chances? I figured I was just imagining things. So I kept on walking, looking over my shoulder every now and then. It looked like she was following me or something....Maybe it was her. Only one way to find out!

(Okay, I know, I know. It sucked! '^^
But I made it in about five minutes, honestly, and I'm kinda in the middle of this "writer's block" thingy. Ugh, I hate it so much. - -')

Woo! Here's my post!

I frowned, staring icily at the conveyor belt, watching intently for my bags of luggage. I swiped a hand through my unruly hair, trying (to no avail) to get my ears to pop. How I hated aeroplanes.

My family had already left me in search of the hotel I was staying in, but I was happy alone; away from the mad house. A grin made its way across my face as I saw my black-and-silver back come through the rubber curtains of the belt. Deftly, I grabbed it, pull the built-in handle from the top of the bag and tugged it towards the exit of the Airport fervently.

Tokyo, Japan. One of the most brilliant destinations in the world. I bit the inside of my cheek excitedly, wishing the day to hurry up so I could get my luggage unpacked and for a new adventure to begin.

I was all set to leave the airport, when I saw on familiar face, then two. Two very familiar faces, but then I could be dreaming, or imagining things. Boldly, I approached the girls, probably about my age, that bore a huge resemblance to Batgirl, most likely known as Kayla in reality.

I had been following Star for a few moments, too excited to just go up to her. Finally, I figured I'd have to go up to her at some time or another. I walked a little faster towards her, and just as she started to turn around, I spoke.

"Star?" I asked, pretty sure it was her.

...Yeah...not all that good, but that's all I could come up with for the moment.

No, it was good! So was yours, El! ^^ Now I'll post...obviously! xP

As I turned around, I noticed that girl, who almost deffinatly had to be Kayla, was right behind me. I jumped a little, not realizing that she had been that close. She asked if I was Star, my nickname at the Cool Zone that I mostly went by, at the same time I asked if she was Batgirl, her nickname on the site. Then we both excitedly nodded our heads at the same time.

Wow, I thought. I honestly didn't think that the day would ever come. The day that I actually got to meet, in person, this girl who I'd talked to through email and websites for about 2 and half years. I couldn't think of anything to say.

"Wow...this is kinda weird," I said, a big smile on my face. Before either of us could say anything more, I noticed someone approaching us out of the corner of my eye. I swear, I could've just passed out right then and there. It was Elandri.

Sorry it's so short. Writer's block, if ya know what I mean.

I frowned, as the two, who I had deduced bore a striking resemblance to Star and Kayla on the Cool Zone. Raising a curious eyebrow, I approached them, my flip flops clacking against my heels. It couldn't hurt to ask, could it?

Cocking my head, I looked both of them up and down, inwardly sighing. Why did I have to be the shorty?

"I'm sorry, I think I just hallucinated," I said, sounding quizzical, even to my own ears. "I don't suppose you two by the names of Kayla and Star?"

I half expected the two of the to glance around fervently, looking for a mental hospital van to be in sight.

(Well, I was kinda waiting for Batgirl to post, but I'll go ahead and post! ^^)




I was still shocked to find Kayla at the same airport I was at when another girl walked up to us.

"I don't suppose you two by the names of Kayla and Star?" she asked us, a little hesitant. I answered first.

"Well, that all depends." I started. "Are you, by any chance, Elandri?" I asked, trying not to smile.



(Yesh, it seems as we all (if Batgirl still is) are suffering from writer's block. ())

(heh, I was actually waiting for you to post, since I had just posted before El. ^^')

Honestly, I almost busted out laughing. Not just because this was very funny, but also because...well, what were the chances that not only Star and I would be at the same airport, but also that Elandri would somehow be here too? It was amazing!

I waited for Elandri to answer Star's question.

(...Yeah...I didn't think that last sentence went with the first paragraph, but now it looks kinda silly sitting there by itself...^^')

I cocked a tentative eyebrow, holding back laughter. The situation seemed almost absurd, and it seemed as if Kayla was holding back laughter, too. "You got that in one," I said, winking at the two. "So, what are you two doing here, anyway? I'm here with my family... but they've abandoned me because they're scouting for our hotel. Y'see, we're all a bunch of map idiots, so my family decided to leave me here to dawdle for a while because I said I didn't want to come with them on their..." I paused for a moment, searching my vocabulary for the word. Frowning, I tacked on the end of my sentence awkwardly, "Quest." It looked as if both of them wanted to speak, but I started rambling off information anyway. I was always like this. "I'm sorry, I must sound like a maniac, and now I'm rambling. Terribly sorry, I'm always like this, and-" I saw the weird looks I was getting, and took the hint. "Okay then, I'll just shut my gob for a second and let you two get at least a word in," I said laughing sheepishly, grinning.

I laughed a little, then spoke.

"Didn't you see? On the Cool Zone, Emily-yeah, Emily- posted some thread about how she could send anyone who wanted to to Tokyo so that we could all meet. Star, Kip and I said that we'd be here, sooo...here we are," I said, chuckling nervously.

I nodded my head as Kayla spoke, then hurriedly spoke after she was done.

"Isn't it ironic that we all just kinda ran into each other?! I mean, what're the odds that we all ended up at the same airport?"
I was speaking fast, like I did most of the time, only when I was excited. I would be surprised if they could understand me.

((Heh, the sad thing is, I usually do talk really fast, unless I'm upset/ticked or something. ))

"I was thinking the same thing," I said, kind of just staring at my feet or at the ground like I usually do when I'm nervous.

"I mean, it's one thing for Star and I to be at the same airprot, but you, too, El? That's almost weird," I continued.

Before anyone could say anything, I noticed out of the corner of my eye the conveyer belt thing starting and incidentally, my luggage going by.

"Uh, I'll be right back," I said, putting my carry-on on the ground and jogging over to the belt, quickly sntaching off my bags before they could go through the thing to go back around again.

"Yeah, I know. It's kinda freaky," I replied, and then watched as Kayla realized her bags were still on the conveyer belt. That made me realize I wasn't sure if I had gotten all of my stuff or not. I checked, and everything was there.

I got my "purse" out of one of my bags, since I always put it in a bag (if I had one) if I went somewhere like an airport. I slung it over my shoulder, checking my phone as I grabbed it out of my pocket. Of course; my mom had already called, checking on me. Sigh....

I ran back over, awkwardly carrying my two bags. I put them down when I got back over, kind of gasping for air. I was gasping for air half because I'm a weakling and half because I had stuffed both of my bags full of stuff. After getting enough air(), I sighed, kind of not sure what to do. I suddenly remembered something I had wanted to ask Elandri.

"Hey, El," I started. "What hotel are you and your family staying at?" I asked, wondering if they were staying at the same hotel as us.

I tried not to laugh as Kayla came running back over, carrying two bags, practically gasping for air. Then again, if my bags were super-heavy, which they probably were, and I ran carrying both of them, I'd probably do the same thing.

"Ohh, maybe you're staying in the same hotel we are!" I said, stating what Kayla was obviously wondering.

I grinned. "If I was hearing your conversation right... the same one as you. Fancy going together, since my family have shamelessly abandoned me? I can phone them." With that, I pulled my mobile (you Americans call it a cell phone, but meh) phone out of my pock a flipped it up, waggling an eyebrow.

"Yeah?"

"Sounds good," I said, hefting my bags up onto my shoulers, carrying one in my hand.

(Sorry it's so short...)

I was staring out of my hotel room window. I was getting sick of the housekeeper.
'Would you rike some te, Keep?' She would say.
'It's Kip!' I would reply, a little to harshly.
When were the others going to get here?
I couldn't help feeling like I'd been stood up.

"Sure, that'd be awesome!" I said, excitement bubbling up in my stomach. This was almost too good to be true. I had been wanting to meet Elandri and Kayla in person since...okay, I don't know exactly how long, but it had been a while. ()

While El was calling her parents on her cell phone, I turned to Kayla.

"Hm, I wonder if Kip made it here yet?"
