Writing competitions...?

Writing competitions...?
I missed the deadline for the "alibi New Crime Writer competition" since I was studying for my exams at the time. Now, I'm looking for other options.
I prefer writing short stories, and would rather there was no entry fee - though I may make an exception.I've tried looking for some online, but many of the results required a subscription, or some sort of membership. Others have either had an expensive entry fee, or are only open to previously published authors.
