Kippy's weird loopy tale from Lala land!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a grey drizzly day. Not only was the weather grey, in the town all the buildings were grey and foreboding. The park was bare except for a fountain adorned with horrible gargoyles.
But the building our story starts in is a boarding school. It was an old gaol and the cells had been converted into depressing dormitories. The school was surrounded by high concrete walls. It was lunchtime and the students were standing were standing around the dreary quadrangle in their grey uniforms. One boy was standing near the wall. The boy’s name was Daniel. Daniel jumped when he heard a voice behind him.
“There is a whole other world out there you know.” The voice belonged to Lila. Daniel had known Lila for as long as he could remember.
“Come with me,” she said. “Come on. Let’s cross the wall.” There was a glint in her eyes.
“But nobody crosses the wall.” Argued Daniel. Before he could continue, Lila cut across him. She held out a hand.
“Take my hand.” She said. Slowly, tentatively, Daniel reached out his hand.
Suddenly a cascade of images flashed into existence. He saw mountains, deserts, seas, forests, islands, valleys, fjords, glaciers, ice fields, coasts and monoliths. Each of them was more spectacular than his wildest dreams. He saw swamps, bushlands, rainforests, reefs, plateaux, gullies, hills, rivers and isthmuses. And the colours! Greens, oranges, blues, brown! Colours he’d never even imagined. It was like being dragged through the pages of a natural wonders of the world book.
“I’ll show you my favourite spot.” Came Lila’s voice seemingly out of nowhere. They were now standing on a hill in front of a river that obviously needed a good shower. Trees grew near the bank. It was sunset and Daniel’s and Lila’s shadows were elongated. Huge black storm clouds rumbled their way along towards them. They sat on the dry grass to admire the scenery. Daniel turned to look at Lila, her head turned away, long blonde hair gently blowing in the breeze. She turned around and their eyes caught one another’s gaze. When their lips met, it was an explosion. Years of pain, sorrow and loneliness escaped in a passionate kiss.
When Daniel opened his eyes, he was back behind the grey concrete wall, alone.
“I’m going back.” He said, loud enough so only he could hear. He looked up at the clouds to see they were beginning to clear and a lonely ray of sunlight shone through. And he was going back to those beautiful lands, because now he knew what was out there, and he wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Wow. Does everyone hate it?

Aw, don't do that! It's really good! I mean, I think your actual writing has gotten better, but this, as a story, is really nice!
