Story

Well, this is a kind of prologue to the story I'm writing. Enjoy!

A young girl lay on her bed, clutching the sheets so tightly that her knuckles turned white. Wild locks of vivid red hair surrounded her porcelain face, her cold eyes passive. Drops of perspiration dripped slowly from her brow, making their way down her face. She rubbed them away slowly, her movements sluggish. Her cheeks were stained red and tears tracks covered her face. She closed her stony blue eyes tightly, before opening them to look to the corner on the expansive room. She glared at the objects bitterly; one a scroll, the other a beautifully crafted katana.

Any critique, suggestions, ideas?

Oooh, yay! I shall have to write more then! I've re-written the next part a couple of times, I'm trying to get it right.

No, that's good! When you just write something, it flows from emotions, and your heart. If you spend hours thinking of what you're going to do and debate about it, it always seems jerky. I don't care what I write, sometimes, too. I just write it!

True, that's what I do sometimes, but sometimes you need to think about what you're going to write. Often, I go back to chapters I've already written and fix a few things. It makes it sound better, and it makes me feel a little better. I mean, on a good day, I can write a chapter in ten, maybe twenty minutes. I never spend hours thinking about it, I just take a break until something comes to me.

Ten or twenty minutes? It took me a month to get the prologue right!
Anyway, back to the point. You said it was a bad thing to not think about what you're writing, but I'm not saying it's not okay to think about what you're going to write. I just think, if your mind weaves something and your pen writes it, that's fantastic!

Yeah. it is! Yeah, I can come up with things on the spot. But, it does take me a few days sometimes.

I got so angry at my stupid writing because it wouldn't work, that I broke my pen... heh heh...

Yeah, I usually type it up on the computer. I write fairly sloppy, and it's easier to just copy and paste into an e-mail to Raz. Poor little pen...

It was an old one, and my dad fixed it. Thank heavens for that, I'd have to buy myself a new pen!

Yeah, we have pens all over the house. I usually don't write with a pen, I make too many mistakes and I'd have to keep on restarting.
