Okay, I've realized (thanks to a "recent situation" on this site) that I can't always ignore my problems. Sometimes, I've got to face them, even if I don't want to...

So, instead of either ignoring the problems (I have) or taking them out on other people, I'll write these nice little...weird....not-too-positive poems. Here's one, titled "I Want....":

It seemed like, for once in my life, I wanted to feel beautiful.

I wanted to be important.

I wanted to be the topic of someone's positive disucssion.

But that's when I realized that it was impossible.

Who was I?

I was no one.

I was an outcast at school, and just another human being everywhere else.

To my friends (at school), I was someone to talk to when they needed help, or even if they were just bored and had nothing better to do.

As far as friendship (again, at school) goes, I was just another loner, walking the school halls, practicly invisible.

I want, I want...Like it even matters.

What does it matter?

I am no one....

Yeah, that was based on some sudden realization I had after I felt like prepping myself up to fit in at school....=/

This was for an English assignment entitled "True Courage". If you're interested in more of my courage poetry for this assignment I'll post it.


To step out from comfort and warmth
When it’s simpler to hide away
To walk on through fears and doubts
Even though they seem ominous

To be the change that you wish to see
Even when it seems that the world is against you
To stand up for what is right
Though it is easier to stand back and watch injustice dealt

To leave fears behind in the dust
And move forward
Because true courage is not the absence of fear
But the willingness to proceed in spite of it

a face
what would it be like?
Male or
Female?
Old or Young?
Would it be
attactive or would it be
ugly
would it be smiling?
Or imbued with greed?
The smile for consumerism,
everything's okay.

Would it scowl down on us
all
for our superficial
lies, and our cheap
love,

Or would it forgive us?

Would it
Smile on the
succesfull
and scorn the
poor

way around?

If I was to give our society a face, would it be
healthy

tired
and sad

and a plastic bag flies past in the wind
and I stand here and think.

nostalgia of

and the sun is rising

and it is sad.

This short poem has to do with emotion and not fitting in.

The weather is hot
It feels way too hot to do anything
But I am cold
I'll be too cold to let your love in

The people are happy
Having too much fun to give me a thought
and I'm alone
But I'll be here because you're all that I've got

Sick with grief
Sick with pain
No relief
So steal my heart
So steal my soul
And take the pain back
Just like a theif

You say you're there
But save your breath
You know it's a lie

Quick little thing I just put together. It's somewhat free verse, I guess.

I'll say it's about Jonathan's daughter, who was saved when her mother died and wasn't raised by Jonathan, but it could also be about me and my dad.
