Elaria watched Taye. She knew he had used too much energy. His movements became sluggish, his face contorted with pain. "Made your last fire, Taye?" Elaria asked.

Elaria jumped up, adrenaline racing through her body. She leaped at Taye with an ice sword, ready to strike.

Taye bent down, still pressing harder. He put his mouth right next to Elaria's ear.

He took out his dagger. He made a slice on the back of Elaria's neck.

I couldn't take it anymore. I could baerly move, but I had to help Elaria. He made a cut on her cheek. I saw the blood, and I knew I had to save her. I got a sudden burst of energy. I ran at him, then tackled him off of Elaria.

Elaria pulled herself up sluggishly. Her head ached, and then felt warm liquid dripping off her face. Blood.

He made a cut on my face, but I didn't care. He didn't seem very good in close combat. I punched him in the face, then in the stomach. Then, he did something I hadn't expected. He threw his dagger at Elaria. She hadn't been paying attention, and was still a little weak. It went straight into her leg, and I heard her grunt in pain.

"You'll pay for that!" I yelled, then punched him in the face again. I guess I was stronger then I thought, because I knocked him out. I ran over to Elaria, who was tring to pull out the dagger.
