AHHHHH i've just been to the dentist, and next month iv'e got to have a filling...and i've never had one..and i'm soo scared..and worried. i had to have an x-ray on my mouth today and i was shaking! i don't kno how i'm gunna cope. apparently you have to have an injection in your mouth and it really hurts! and ahhh i'm just scared..and don't know what to expect!
any help?

The injection is to numb your mouth, probably, so that you won't feel anything.

Don't worry, Eden. The injection doesn't hurt; it's for numbing your mouth. But they put this jelly-like stuff on your gums before they give you the shot.

And fillings really aren't painful at all. I've had tons of fillings before, and it only feels weird on your teeth; no pain, I promise. ^^

I think people saying you should be "scared" of the dentist is all just hype and stuff. I mean, I have to go to the dentist/orthodontist every month (cuz I have braces), and the only thing that ever hurts is when the orthodontist tightens the braces. And that only hurts for about a day or so.

Wow, that was kinda lenghty. '^^
My point in case, though, is that you really shouldn't be afraid. Getting a filling is nothing (if getting one over there is anything like getting one in America, at least '^^)...

I've had, like, soooo many fillings. It's never any pain or discomfort. The needle is nothing, compared to being hit by a freakin car. Getting braces on is fine too, I only complained when I got them because I LIKE COMPLAINING>

mmm i had a retainer thing..then they asked me if i wanted a brace and i was like NO, but i wish i said yes now, cos i want straight teeth :(

mm okay if you say it doesnt hurt then i should be fine :S i hope!
its not for a few weeks so i should be okay.
