You could have just kept the cat inside. We don't let our cats live outside anymore, after what happened to Dewey and Sammy.

What? Keeping animals inside? It is if they have no idea what to do outside and would most likely get killed a few minutes after they were let out.

Yes, keeping animals inside all the time is wrong. They need to go out and get fresh air too.

Except, our cats don't have any idea what to do outside. The last time one of them got out, he got out the back door, sat there, and pretty much had no idea what to do. And the last cats we had that lived outside, drank something poisonous outside, and the other got ran over by a car. We had them for fourteen years. They knew what to do outside, our cats now don't.
